Generating footfall and inward investment through a multi-channel city retail event.
Glasgow has the best shopping in the UK outside of London, with the Style Mile offering a roll call of some of the best high street, designer and boutique brands. To celebrate this, GCMB initiated the first ever Glasgow Style Mile Shopping Festival, which took place in the Spring of 2016. During the festival, the programme was jam-packed with events such as styling sessions, trend tips, makeup masterclasses, new product demonstrations and special discounts.
Maguires were commissioned to design and develop a bold and vibrant brand which clearly established the festival in the eyes of the consumer and implemented a brand style which graphically celebrated Glasgow’s fantastic retail offering. Integral to the overall look and feel was a bright and celebratory colour palette and brand lock up, representing the changing of the seasons and the new fashion trends for Spring/Summer. Our typographic approach was bold and modern, with the logotype existing in various outdoor and digital media both as an elegant flat vector and as a bold 3D render.
Additional graphical elements within our poster executions emphasised the festival aspect of the brand and captured consumer imaginations. The festival was a massive success for shoppers and retailers alike, with a surge in footfall and turnover for retailers on the Style Mile. Preparations are already underway for next year’s event.
