Paul Maguire baby photo

Nobody really knows what Paul actually does. Professionally he is an expert in the design and production of interactive electronic multimedia installations (wha?), but also designs for other media including print and sound. Ultimately he is an old-school multimedia artist guy thing.

Although able to program the 6809E chipset in assembler, he chose to study Fine Art at Glasgow School of Art. While there he came in contact with Macintosh computers for the first time and soon realised that he seemed to be the only person who knew how to use them. He was commissioned to set up the Electronic Media Studio at the Art School and worked there for 2 years, before becoming a 26-year-old Senior Lecturer at the University of Plymouth. He moved to London 2 years later and became involved in the multimedia/web 1.0 revolution, working with many award-winning companies and in various partnerships. 8 years later he's back in Glasgow (now fully matured like a fine wine, and married with kids) at Maguires as well as working with other interesting creative companies. The gun in the photograph is real, BTW...
